FOX NEWS — A mother of two has died in a crash on Interstate 75 that left a mother and daughter behind.

The accident happened about 11:40 p.m.

Monday in the northwest corner of the state about 70 miles (120 kilometers) south of Denver.

It’s the second time in two months a woman has died when a car has crashed on Interstate 25, officials said.

It was unclear how the woman died.

Her daughter was in the car, but she was not seriously injured, officials from the State Patrol and Colorado State Patrol said in a joint statement.

A man in the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of reckless homicide and vehicular homicide.

He was being held in the Denver County Jail.

The Associated Press reported that the man was in his 30s.
